Industrial subjects such power lines, electrical stanchions and barbed wire fences enter the world of art when looked at and photographed in a special way.  A long time exposure allowed the cumulus clouds to traverse the expanse of the sky and produce beautiful streaked tonalities contrasting perfectly with the sharply defined industrial elements.  The surreal, dreamlike, unearthly quality is simply the result of long exposure - it's still reality.  A good novel and a lounge chair come in handy when you do a 45 minute exposure.
